Government of Alberta launch solar RFP

The Government of Alberta is seeking proposals to procure solar power to offset around 55% of the government’s annual electricity needs. A Request for Proposals (RFP) is now open to developers of solar projects in Alberta. Through the RFP the government are seeking 135,000MWh of solar-generated electricity, offering a 20 year contract.  The Alberta government anticipates having the solar project contracts in place before spring 2019.
